Trying to find a specific Styrofoam glider toy airplane. This glider is powered by water and pressure.?
Ihad one about 15 yrs. ago and can’t seem to find this particular powered glider any where. Its foam, it has a few feet wing span, it comes with a plastic bottle (about 16oz) and a special cap. It also comes with a small version bicycle tire pump. The idea is to fill the bottle 1/3 full of water then put the cap on, the cap has a sliding hatch that you slide to the side, attatch the pump and pump it with air (about 8-10 pumps) this creates the pressure, then slide the hatch back over the air hole. The bottle then slides down into the body of the glider. Holding the hatch still over the hole with your finger, give the glider a launch up into the air releasing the hatch as well and this glider will fly for a good while. I can’t remember the name of this glider nor can I find a glider powered in this manner. Do you know?
There’s a product a LOT like this… it’s called the Sonic Wing. I happen to own one myself. You pump up a launcher and the glider is launced by the pressure. It’s really neat… and even though it doesn’t involve water, it seems a lot like what you’re talking about. I hope this helps!! good luck finding your toy!! :0)
